Frequently asked questions about Yeliq

Answers to the most important questions about pre-interview diagnostics, how the process works for recruiters and candidates, AI and data protection, and pricing and getting started with Yeliq.

Basics

What is Yeliq?

Yeliq is a pre-interview diagnostics platform. Yeliq analyzes what a specific role requires, builds the right pre-selection for candidates and gives recruiters and hiring managers a reviewable basis for prioritization and interview preparation before the first conversation.

What does pre-interview diagnostics mean?

Pre-interview diagnostics means deriving from a role's requirements which signals are needed before the first interview and collecting exactly these signals. Every role is different. For some, CV analysis is enough, for others situational questions, filter questions, video answers or work samples are added.

Who is Yeliq for?

Yeliq is for recruiting and talent acquisition teams, hiring managers and people teams who want to fill roles with less effort and a clearer basis for decisions. Yeliq is used in SaaS, retail, energy and infrastructure, media, consulting and professional services, among others.

Does Yeliq replace our ATS?

No. The ATS organizes the application process. Yeliq adds the information that is still missing for the specific role before the first interview.

How is Yeliq different from online assessments?

Online assessments are usually standardized tests for all roles. Yeliq builds the pre-selection anew for each role and only collects the signals that role really needs. You can find a detailed comparison of all common methods in our 2026 comparison.

How Yeliq works

How does pre-selection with Yeliq work?

Pre-selection with Yeliq has five steps. First, Yeliq analyzes the role's requirements. This becomes a proposed pre-interview flow that your team reviews and approves. Candidates then complete the flow and Yeliq brings the results together into a decision basis.

More about the product

Which modules are available?

Depending on the role, Yeliq combines CV analysis, filter questions, situational questions on working style, situational questions on leadership, video answers and digital work samples. Not every role gets every module.

How does Yeliq decide which modules a role gets?

Yeliq derives the modules from the role's requirement analysis. Only modules that add relevant information before the interview are selected. For a role with clear formal requirements this can be CV analysis alone, while a leadership role might add situational questions on leadership.

Can we adjust the proposed flow?

Yes. The proposal stays under human control. Recruiters or hiring managers can review, adjust, add or remove modules and content before approving the flow.

What does the recruiting team get in the end?

The team gets a prioritization of candidates, visible strengths and open points, and concrete questions for the interview. This makes clear who is worth talking to and where the interview should start.

Candidates

How long does the flow take for candidates?

Usually 10 to 20 minutes. Candidates only complete the modules that are relevant for the role.

Does the flow work on smartphones?

Yes. The pre-interview flow is built for mobile devices, so candidates can complete it comfortably on their phone.

How do candidates experience Yeliq?

Candidates see that the questions relate to the role and can show how they work instead of letting only their CV speak. At SOLV4EX, 85 percent of candidates completed the full flow.

AI, fairness and data protection

Does Yeliq make automated hiring decisions?

No. Yeliq provides signals, a prioritization and questions for the interview. The evaluation and the decision stay with recruiting, the hiring manager and the team.

What does Yeliq use AI for?

Yeliq uses AI where role information is structured, suitable modules are suggested and results are combined. A person reviews every configuration before candidates see it.

How fair is pre-selection with Yeliq?

Yeliq works with clear, role-related criteria that apply equally to all candidates for a role. A person reviews the flow before it starts and makes the final decision. This makes pre-selection more transparent than gut feeling in CV screening.

How does Yeliq handle data protection?

Yeliq describes data protection and security, including GDPR and hosting, on its Trust & standards page. We only publish statements there that are documented. For questions about data processing agreements, please contact us directly.

What does the EU AI Act mean for AI-based pre-selection?

The EU AI Act classifies AI in hiring as high-risk. Transparency, explainable criteria and human oversight are therefore essential. At Yeliq, a person reviews every flow and Yeliq makes no automated decisions. For a legal assessment of your situation, we recommend legal advice.

Pricing and getting started
